Recently, Mana Precast was pleased to host Mr. Joji Sebastian, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Precast LLC, for a strategic technical exchange. The visit focused on addressing the evolving challenges of the Middle Eastern construction market through advanced manufacturing technology and digital transformation.

Strategic Technical Exchange

Despite a focused one-hour schedule, the session was highly productive, covering the integration of high-efficiency production systems and next-generation materials:

• Pallet Circulation Systems: We demonstrated our state-of-the-art automated pallet circulation technology, designed to optimize factory workflow, reduce cycle times, and ensure maximum output consistency.

• Battery Mould Technology: Detailed discussions were held regarding the advantages of vertical casting for achieving double-sided smooth finishes and significant space savings within the plant.

• UHPC (Ultra-High Performance Concrete): Our team presented the latest applications of UHPC materials, highlighting their role in modern, high-durability infrastructure projects.

The Pivot to Automation: Addressing Rising Labor Costs

A central theme of the visit was the industry-wide challenge of rising labor costs in the UAE. Mr. Sebastian expressed a keen interest in modernizing existing production lines. By integrating higher levels of automation into the pallet circulation process, precast plants can significantly reduce manual dependency while increasing precision.

A specific point of interest was the automation of concrete surface treatment. Currently, the industry relies heavily on manual Power Trowelling. Mana Precast proposed automated finishing solutions designed to replace these labor-intensive processes, ensuring a superior, standardized surface texture with minimal human intervention.

The visit concluded with a forward-looking invitation from Mr. Sebastian for the Mana Precast technical team to visit the Abu Dhabi Precast LLC facilities in the UAE. This site visit will allow for a deeper assessment of their current lines to develop a tailored automation roadmap.
